9.1 Carry out initial

commissioning

You must make settings when you
first use it or after resetting to factory
settings.
Tip:Connect your device to a mobile
device. You can easily adjust all
settings using the Home Connect
app.
Requirement:The device is set up and

Pour in special salt. → Page 24

Here you will find an overview of the adjustable water hardness values. You can
ask your local waterworks about the water hardness level or use a water hardness
tester.

1 0 softening system

H hard, calcareous water behind
Leaves limescale residue on the
dishes and the washing container and
can clog parts of the appliance.
To get good washing results, you can
soften water using the softening
system and special salt. To avoid
damage to the device, water with a
hardness above 7 °dH must be
softened.
