Leaks • If there is a gas leak on your appliance (smell of gas), immediately turn off the gas supply by turning the control knob clockwise to the “OFF” position and take it into a flame free location where the gas leak may be detected and stopped. If you wish to check for gas leaks on your appliance, do it outside.
2. Assembling the appliance • WARNING: The legs are spring loaded. Opening and closing of the legs must be done in a controlled manner to avoid personal injury or damage to your Safari Chef. • To open the legs, turn the unit upside-down and hold the legs down while li ing each leg individually (Fig. 2c).
