This is a two-sided laser detector so it can be read from either side
of the unit.

3. Operation
To install batteries into the detector,
open the battery compartment and insert
two "AAA" alkaline batteries according to
the polarity illustrated inside. (Figure 19)
NOTE: Take the batteries out when the unit is not in use for a long
time.
