SETUP
3.
Connect the spring guard end of the
50 R
(15 m) material hose (85b) to the outlet of the
automatic pressure drain valve (2).
WARNING
A spring guarded material hose (85b) must be
drain valve. The spring guard helps protect the

Connect the air and material hoses

and tighten securely.
7. Connect a 1/2" ID compressor air hose (customer
supplied) to the air regulator inlet (C). Do not use
quick disconnect couplers.

Tighten the pump's lug nut

a hammer. This helps prevent air leaks which
prevent priming.
9.
Clamp the siphon hose to the pump.
Be sure the
gasket is in place in the quick disconnect elbow
(le)
-
air leaks will prevent priming.
IO. Connect the drain hose (86) to the rear outlet
of
the automatic pressure drain valve
(2).
11. Install the hose clips
(83)
on the siphon hose and
drain hose as shown.

12. See page 9 for disc and nozzle recommenda-
tions. Install the disc (A) and nozzle (B) on the
gun. as shown in Fig 5. Tighten the retaining rings
(C and D) snugly, but do not use a wrench.
13. Add Throat Seal Liquid, supplied, to the Pump
wet cup (B) until it is visible at the top of the cup.
14. Check the engine oil level. Refer to the Honda
engine manual, supplied. In summary: remove
one oil fill plug (E)
-
the oil should be almost
overflowing. Add oil as necessary. Also read the
MAINTENANCE section on page 12.
Recommended engine oil: Use a high-quality,
detergent oil, SAE IOW-40, classified "FOR
SERVICE SE or SF".
