NOTICE
Load on the cover.
Risk of basin collapse.
Ö Do not walk on the cover.
Ö Do not store anything on the cover.
4.6 DISCHARGE CONNECTION
NOTICE
Improper fitting of the discharge pipe.
Leaks and flooding of the installation room!
Ö The sewage pumping station must not be used as a
control point for piping.
Ö Do not connect other drain pipes to the discharge pipe.
• This discharge pipe must be designed so as to prevent back-flow
from the sewer. Backflow is avoided by installing an anti-backflow loop
located above the back-flow level.
• Connect the discharge line to the 2" vertical discharge port, using
the supplied sleeve (built-in non-return valve). Secure the connection
with the clamps provided.
• Install a ball or gate valave and/or quick disconnect on the discharge
pipe to facilitate work on the sewage pumping station.
• If necessary, reinforce the pipe and fittings with pipe clamps.
4.7 VENT CONNECTION
IMPORTANT
The station must be equipped with a vent with a wall outlet (to the
outside) or above the roof.
The pump station must always be ventilated so that the tank is al-
ways at atmospheric pressure. The ventilation must be completely
free and air must flow in both directions (no one-way vents). Do not
connect to a mechanical vent.
Connect the 2" vertical vent pipe, either directly to the building vent
pipe or installed separately and directed above the roof.
• The connection must be made vertical to the vent opening using the
flexible sleeve.
• Secure the connection with the 2 clamps provided.
• The connection must be odor-proof.
• Install a quick disconnect on the vent pipe to facilitate work on the
sewage pumping station.
The vent pipe must not be connected to the vent pipe on the inlet side
of a grease trap.
NOTICE
Insufficient venting.
Risk that the sewage pumping station will not work!
Ö Do not connect to a mechanically controlled ventilator.
Ö Ventilation must remain open.
Ö Do not block the vent outlet.
Ö Do not install an air admittance or mechanical vent.

4.8 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

DANGER
Risk of electrical shock!
Fire hazard.
Ö The electrical installation must be carried out by a
qualified electrical professional.
Ö All wiring must be in accordance with the National
Electrical Code and with all applicable local codes for
electrical installations.
Ö Disconnect the power supply before attempting any
work on the device!
Ö Do not make the electrical connection until the final
connections are completed.
Ö Sanipit is supplied with grounding conductor and
grounding type attachment plug. To reduce the risk of
electrical shock be certain that it is connected only a
properly grounded-type receptacle.
Ö Sanipit is supplied with a 3-prong grounded plug. Do
not, under any circumstances, remove the ground pin.
Ö The electrical supply circuit must be protected by a
ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).
Ö Do not handle the pump or pump motor with wet hands
or while standing on a wet or damp surface or in water.
Ö If the basement floor is wet, do not walk on the wet area
until the power is turned off.
Ö Do not use an extension cord or multiple adapter to
connect the unit to the power supply.
• This device is designed for 120 V (single phase, 60 Hz).
• The connection must be used exclusively to provide the power to
the Sanipit.
• The power cord must be plugged into a separately fused, grounded
outlet of proper amp capacity.
• If the power cord is damaged, to prevent possible danger, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or the customer service.

4.9 CONTROL BOX INSTALLATION

DANGER
Submersion of the control box.
Risk of death by electric shock!
Ö Only use the control box in room safe from floods.
The control box must be installed indoors, in a place protected from
humidity, frost and floods.
The alarm signal must always be visible to the user.
The control box must be vented: connect the carbon filter end to the
slot on the bottom of the box.
4.10 WIRED ALARM BOX INSTALLATION
The alarm box must be installed indoors, in a place protected from
humidity, frost and floods.
The alarm signal must always be visible to the user.
The alarm system does not require a separate power supply.
For wall mounting, use the following image as a guide:
Connect the jack to the wired alarm box.
Note: if the jack plug is incorrectly inserted, the alarm box will signal a
power failure.
5. COMMISSIONING
5.1
PREREQUISITES FOR COMMISSIONING
• Compare the specifications on the rating plate with those of the con-
trol system and the installation (supply voltage, frequency).
• Make sure that the electrical connection for the sewage pumping
station and all protective devices has been correctly performed.
• Plug in the sewage pumping station.
5.2 APPLICATION LIMIT
NOTICE
Pressure and temperature limits exceeded.
Leakage of hot or toxic fluid!!
Ö Observe
the
documentation.
Ö Avoid running the pump with the valve closed.
Ö Avoid dry running, without pumped fluid.
When in use, observe the following parameters and values:
