- flammable or explosive liquids such as oil, gasoline, kerosene, ethanol,
etc.,
- waste water containing harmful substances, e.g. untreated grease
water from restaurants. These require the installation of a grease trap.
DANGER
Pumping unauthorized fluids
Danger for the people and the environment.
Ö Only discharge authorized pumped fluids in the public
sewage network.
All applications other than those described in this manual are pro-
hibited.
3.2 OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The waste water (effluent) flows into the sewage pumping station by
gravity and enters the tank through the side inlet (1 inlet on 24GRCB).
It accumulates in the plastic tank, which is watertight and designed for
non-pressure operation.
The effluent level rises in the tank and the dip tubes. When the acti-
vation level is reached in the long dip tube, the level sensor and the
associated control box activate the pump, which grinds and pumps the
water out of the tank via the discharge line. A non-return valve in the
discharge line prevents backflow into the tank.
The vent line ensures that the tank always remains at atmospheric pres-
sure.
In case of abnormal operation, if the effluent reaches the alarm level in
the tank (short tube), the audible and visual alarm of the control box is
activated and the pumping system starts (if not faulty).
3.3 SCOPE OF SUPPLY
Sanipit sewage pumping stations are supplied with:
– a cover (not suitable for pedestrian traffic),
– a seal,
– 3 screws and washers for the cover,
