Settings
Specific displays can be configured individu-
ally, e.g., a second actual speed.
1.
Go through the menu as follows via iDrive:
Apps menu / "Vehicle" / "Displays" /
"Instrument cluster"
2.
Select the desired setting.
Control display
Principle
The iDrive functions are displayed on the con-
trol display.
The control display switches on automatically
when it is needed for operation or when the
vehicle is unlocked.
To turn off the control display manually, call up
the following menu via iDrive:
Apps menu / "Vehicle" / "Displays" / "Control
display" / "Turn off control display"
Tap the control display to turn it on again.
The main menu of BMW iDrive is divided into
different areas, e.g., menu bar, status informa-
tion, and widgets.
You can configure various settings such as the
brightness of the control display.
Safety information
Warning
Devices connected to the vehicle via a cable
such as mobile phones or loose objects can
be thrown through the vehicle interior while
driving such as in the event of an accident,
braking or evasive maneuver. There is a risk
of injury and risk of damage to property. Se-
cure loose objects or devices that are con-
nected to the vehicle via a cable.

Warning
Objects in the area in the front of the control
display can slip and damage the control dis-
play. There is a risk of injury or risk of dam-
age to property. Do not place objects in the
area in front of the control display.
Overview
The control display is located on the instru-
ment panel above the center console.
Buttons on the control display
When operating the control display, the but-
tons on the control display illuminate.
Button Function
Go to previous menu.
Go to Media menu.
Call up the Communication menu.
Go to Navigation menu.
