entering towns/cities, highway signs, etc., are
not displayed. Speed limits with extra traffic
signs are always displayed.
Speed limits for trailer towing will be displayed
when the trailer socket is occupied or trailer
towing was activated via iDrive.
Depending on the equipment, an approved
maximum speed can be set up for trailer tow-
ing, which will be taken into account for the
display of speed limits.

Safety information
Warning
The system cannot serve as a substitute for
the driver's personal judgment in assessing
the traffic situation. Based on the limits of
the system, it cannot independently react
to all traffic situations. There is a risk of
accident. Adjust driving style to traffic condi-
tions. Watch the surrounding traffic situation
closely, be ready to take over steering and
braking at any time, and actively intervene
where appropriate.
Sensors
The system is controlled by a camera behind
the windshield.
Displaying Speed Limit Info
General information
Speed Limit Info can be shown or hidden on
the instrument cluster via iDrive. Depending
on the national-market version, Speed Limit
Info is continuously displayed in the instrument
cluster.

Displaying Speed Limit Info
To display Speed Limit Info, call up the follow-
ing menu via iDrive: Apps menu / "Vehicle" /
"Driving settings" / "Driver Assistance" /
"Driving" / "Speed Limit Assistant" / "Show
current limit"

Warning signals
General information
The display flashes if the detected speed limit
is exceeded or the speed limit changes. De-
pending on national-market version, an acous-
tic signal also sounds.
Signal for exceeding speed limit
To activate or deactivate the warning for
exceeding the maximum permitted speed,
go through the menu as follows via iDrive:
Apps menu / "Vehicle" / "Driving settings" /
"Driver Assistance" / "Driving" / "Speed Limit
Assistant" / "Warning when speeding"
Signal for speed limit change
To activate or deactivate the warning for speed
limit changes, go through the menu as follows
