Update Instructions

PREPARATORY OPERATIONS:
1. Before installing the software, verify that your PC must have the Framework 3.5 from Microsoft. If not,
download it from the web.
2. If your PC does not contain the drivers for the programming interface (driver file from Silicon Labs), please
download them: they are supplied with the CD- software provided with the programming Kit, or it is available in
the Download Area of
3. Paste the directory "Agg_Update_BillyOry_v.x_x_.x.zip" on your PC, unzip it, then extract the application
file "AlbericiUpgLettore.exe":
and its library "Ionic.Zip.dll":
4. Paste as well the "20xx_0x_xx_BillyOne_OryOne_........... .alb" update fw file.
The *.exe and *.alb files are available from the web page (Download section at foot of page):
BILLYONE:

ORYONE:
OryOne UN1, with stacker, Note validators, products - Alberici SpA
Any of two interface tools can be used:
A) if updating on the Change machine, use the grey
USB Pendrive with its 4p/4p cable (cod. no. K-P2C-000003),
B) if updating directly the validator (i.e. on a working bench), use the
universal programming kit (code no. K-P10-000009).
Dip-switch 1 in the validator must be set to ON for programming!!!
If the USB pendrive is used, go to A) UPDATE BY USB PENDRIVE.
If the Universal kit is used, go to B) UPDATE BY UNIVERSAL PROGRAMMING KIT (page 5).
A) UPDATE BY USB PENDRIVE.
A1- Insert the Pendrive on a USB port of the PC, and fit the cable 4p / 10p between the Pendrive and the 10p
note validator socket. Connect the socket of the 2p cable (red and black wires) to the Pendrive 2p socket.
Power the red (+) / black (-) wires to +24V (from a power box; else, if updating on the spot, connect them
to the green=+24 and black (GND) wires of the main pcb PWR IN/CCT socket or of the Hub pcb).
USB
A2- COM port: if the software does not find it automatically, see NOTICE in Section E.
A3- Open the application "AlbericiUpg.Lettore.exe". The window box below will prompt you:

, under 'Programming Kit' / 'Drivers universal kit'.

- Page 4 Maintain the tick on the denominations that you want to be processed only under standard acceptance mode, and remove the tick from the ones that you want to be processed only under security mode. Remove both ticks (standard mode and security mode) from the boxes of the denomination(s) that should not be accepted.
- Page 5 NOTICE in Section E at end of this paper . B7- Open the application “AlbericiUpgLettore.exe”. The following message will be shown: Press “No” in case you want to use again the same file for another BillyOne note acceptor.

- Page 9 B12- To test proper operation, open the menu Tools/banknotes validation test. As each banknote is accepted, the monitor window will update the amount in the relevant Counter. It is possible to calibrate the Note Validator, as well as to set it for High Discrimination Rate or else for Low Discrimination Rate (see Sections C and D) .
- Page 10 Calibration should be carried out when acceptance rate decreases substantially, and/or after thorough cleaning of the note validator and particularly of its optic sensors glasses. Full Calibration requires usage of the Alberici Calibration Card (AA-0245). A more basic calibration (Partial Calibration) can be carried out as well without such Card.
- Page 11 D2- If ‘Partial calibration’ is chosen, and the ‘Enable advanced functionalities’ box has been ticked in the ‘Options/Advanced’ menu, the program will ask to choose between High Sensibility (factory default) and Low Sensibility. Tick the desired choice, then OK. Once made your choice, or straight away if the ‘Enable advanced functionalities’...
