Care and Maintenance

Storage and handling:
Keep in a dry, clean environment.
Do not place the device in direct sunlight.
Do not place the device in proximity to strong magnetic fields.
Keep the device away from liquids such as water or splashing oil.
Avoid impact. Handle with care.
When connecting the OBD Test Harness to the TS58R and the vehicle's OBD interface
connect carefully! Verify the connectors are aligned and do not force the connectors
together. Avoid damaging the connectors and their pins. Finger tighten the connector
mounting screws on the TS58R connector.
After testing is completed, return the TS58R Tool and its test cable to its case to avoid
damage or loss.
Maintenance:
The TS58R screen will attract dust due to the build-up of static electricity. LCD screen
wipes are available to clean the screen.
Do not wipe dust off the screen with your fingers and do not use harsh chemicals to
clean the LCD screen.
Do not use engine cleaners, gasoline, or harsh chemicals to clean the TS58R. Harsh
chemicals may dissolve the TS58R case and cover materials.
To clean the TS58R case, remove power from the device and wipe carefully with a
lightly dampened cloth.
Charging the TS58R
Charge the TS58R through the USB-C Port only using the supplied cable. Do not
charge while connected to the OBD Port. Charging Limit 2000mA ±50mA. Lithium
Polymer Battery. Dispose of in accordance with all national and local
regulations.
Charger Assembly
To assemble the TS58R charger:
1. Align the plug and the charger.
2. Rotate Clockwise until the plug snaps into the charger.
To disassemble the charger:
1. Press the button as detailed below.
2. Rotate the Plug counterclockwise until the plug is released.
