Installing the Rechargeable
Battery Pack (BP-901)
1. Remove the battery compartment cover on
the Handset by sliding it down.
2. Slide in the Rechargeable Battery Pack.
Note: The Rechargeable Battery Pack is
keyed to fit so the electrical contacts
touch the Handset's electrical
contacts.
3. Slide the battery compartment cover back on.
Charging the Handset's
Rechargeable Battery Pack
The Rechargeable Battery Pack must be fully
charged before using your EXP 901 for the first
time. (Note: Allow the unit to charge without
interruption for 12-16 hours. )
1. Place the Handset on the Base Unit.
2. Make sure the CHARGE LED lights. If the CHARGE LED does not light,
check to see that the AC Adapter is plugged in.
Spare Battery Slow Charger
The Base Unit of your EXP 901 has a Spare
Battery Slow Charger for charging an extra
Rechargeable Battery Pack.
1. Press the door to open the Spare Battery
Charger.
2. Slide in the spare Rechargeable Battery
Pack so it rests on top of the ribbon. (Note:
The Rechargeable Battery Pack fits so the
electrical contacts touch the Spare Battery
Charger's electrical contacts. )
The BATTERY CHARGE LED should light. If the it does not light, check
that the AC Adapter is plugged in.
3. Press the door to close the compartment.
Note: Since Base Unit Spare Battery Charger is a slow charger, charge
the spare Rechargeable Battery Pack without interruption for
20-30 hours. When charging is complete, use the ribbon to
remove the Rechargeable Battery Pack.
