PRODUCT OVERVIEW

DC/5V: Power in, connect to the included DC 5V/ 2A power adapter.

RS232: Serial port of automated switching, connect to computer system.
•
IN1, IN2, IN3, IN4: Connect to the SDI sources using 75Ω RG59 cables.
•
OUT: Connect to an SDI display or other SDI device using a 75Ω RG59 cable.

CONNECTION AND OPERATION

1. Connect the switch to the appropriate power source.
2. Using 75Ω RG59 cables, connect an SDI source to the IN1, IN2, IN3, and IN4 ports.
3. Using a 75Ω RG59 cable, connect the switch's OUT port to an SDI display or any other SDI device.
4. Press the 1 side of the power switch to turn on the switch. The power LED will illuminate.
5. Press the Select button to cycle between the connected inputs. The 1, 2, 3, and 4 LEDs will
illuminate to indicate which input is selected.

RS232 FUNCTIONAL OPERATION

Connect the PC's RS232 interface to the RS232 at the back of the switch; select the input source by
entering the command through the DOS or Hyper Terminal on the PC.
A. UNDER THE DOS OPERATING SYSTEM
1. Check the computer serial port number, such as the COMx
2. Input MODE COMx:9600,N,8,1 + ENTER
3. Input TYPE CON>COMx + Enter
4. Enter the switch's Input Port No as the DOS system's serial number (e.g., "1", "2", "3", "4" + Enter)
5. Select the corresponding serial number to activate the switching function.
