Making Miter Gauge Auxiliary Facing
(Fig. 66)
The Miter Gauge 14 has pre-molded features that
allow for the attachment of an Auxiliary Facing 107.
To make the Miter Gauge Auxiliary Facing 107, it
is recommended to select a smooth straight wood
board that is 3/4" thick, 3" high, and desired length.
1. Using the Miter Gauge 14 as a template, drill
1/8" (3 mm) diameter holes though the board.
2. Attach the board to the Miter Gauge 14
with two round head Wood Screws 108,
No. 10x 3/4" or M5 x 20 mm (not included).
Be sure the screws never protrude above the out-
side surface of the facing.
Be sure the facing does not interfere with the prop-
er operation of the Barrier Guard Assembly 26.
NOTE: When bevel crosscutting, attach the facing
so that it extends to the right of the Miter Gauge
14, and use the Miter Gauge 14 in the groove to the
right of the Blade 31.
