Note [1]: In the RS485 communication networking, it is recommended that fewer than 30
inverters be cascaded to each COM port of the SmartLogger. The RS485 communication distance
between the inverters and the SmartLogger cannot exceed 1000 m.
Procedure
Step 1 Connect communications cables to the connector, prepare M4 OT or DT terminals,
and crimp ground cables for the shield layers.

(1) Shield layer
Step 2 Connect the connector to the COM port, secure the shield layers to the ground
point of the communications cables, and bind the cables.
