Observe installation manual of the manufacturer of the Associated Apparatus.
For FM:
Use a FM certified intrinsic safe Associated Apparatus. Installation must be in accordance with
the National Electrical Code (NPFA 70, articles 504 and 505) and ANSI/ISA RP 12.06.01.
Each intrinsically safe wiring must be installed as a separate intrinsically safe circuit per the
requirements of ANSI/NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) for intrinsically safe installations.
For CSA:
Use a CSA certified intrinsic safe Associated Apparatus. Installation must be in accordance
with the Canadian Electrical Code.
