CD AUTOMATIC EDITING
RECORDING (A.S.E.S.)
What does CD A.S.E.S. do?
eA.S.E.S. records CD tracks in order. If recording stops part way
through a track at the end of the tape, recording resumes on
the other side of the tape from the beginning of that track.

Side A:
eRecording starts on the A side of the tape in the forward (>)
direction, so be sure to check tape direction.
A.S.E.S.: Auto Synchro Editing System
1. Load Tape II with a tape for recording, and close the deck door.
2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button and load a disc.
3. Select the desired disc for recording with the DISC select
buttons (1 — 3) or DISC CHANGE button.
4. Press the STOP button, and play stops.
In Step 3, when selecting a disc by pressing the DISC CHANGE
button, playback does not start unless you press the START
button.
eProgram tracks you want to record in the desired order.
Refer to page 36.
eSelect a track using the © and buttons, and recording
starts in order from that track. If you do not select a track,
recording starts from the first track.
5. Press the ASES/COPY button.
A.S.E.S. operation starts.
6. To cancel A.S.E.S. operation part way through, press the
STOP button.
NOTES:
e/f you select CD repeat play before recording with A.S.E.S.,
tracks are recorded until the tape is full.
e During A.S.E.S. operation, if recording of the next track starts
near the end of the tape, or the CD stops playing, or the
operation is interrupted, A.S.E.S. may not function correctly.
If this happens, do not use A.S.E.S. to record the current and
subsequent tracks.
e@ When all tracks on the first disc have been recorded, recording
continues from the first track on the next disc (disc selection is
performed when in the REC Pause mode). When that disc
ends, recording continues from the first track of the third disc
until the end of the disc, when A.S.E.S. operation ends and
recording stops.
