Making the Frame Recording
You can make a recording with an animated effect using frame recording. In frame recording, the camcorder
records approx. four frames of a subject and then stops. To create an animated effect, you can then move the
subject and then repeat frame recording. Secure the camcorder and use the Remote Commander for effective
frame recording. Push REMOTE COMMANDER on the camcorder so that the remote sensor pops up. Before
you start recording, set FRAME REC mode to ON in the menu system. (1) Set the camcorder to recording
standby mode. (2) Open the lid of the control panel. (3) Press MENU to display the menu. (4) Press v to
move the cursor B and select FRAME REC. (5) Press < or > to move @ and select ON. (6) Press EXECUTE.
The setting is stored in memory and the menu disappears. (7) Press START/STOP on the camcorder or the
Commander. The camcorder performs a recording of approximately 4 frames, then enters recording standby
mode. (8) Move the subject and repeat step 7.

To cancel the frame recording, you
e select FRAME REC OFF in the menu.
e slide the STANDBY switch down to cover START/STOP.
e slide the POWER switch to OFF or VTR.
¢ detach the power source.
Note on frame recording using a prerecorded tape
Two frames of a prerecorded tape immediately after frame recording are completed are erased.
