Measurement of Phase Difference

Measurement of phase difference with Lissajous figure
(See Figures 5-6, 5-7 and 5-8):
Operate the oscilloscope in the X-Y mode as explained in the
paragraph for frequency measurement, and apply two signals of
the same frequency (such as stereophonic signals) to the X and
Y axes so that a Lissajous figure is displayed on the CRT screen.
The phase difference between the two signals can be calculated by
measuring the displayed waveform and employing the following
equation:
