7.6 REPLACING THE BATTERY

1.
Loosen the screws of the battery maintenance cover, remove the cover.
2.
Undo the battery bracket.
3.
Locate the white connectors and unplug them to disconnect the battery.
4.
Remove the battery from the tray and then remove both the negative and
positive terminal connector screws, and attach them to the new battery.
5.
Insert the new battery into the tray and fasten the battery bracket.
6.
Re-connect the white connector then reinstall the battery maintenance
cover.
NOTE
  If the battery is dead, start the generator manually. The battery will
charge while the engine is running.
  The battery will slowly lose charge when left for long periods. For use
with a trickle charging system, the charging current should be less than
0.15c amperes (c: battery rated capacity).
