When to repiace the batteries
When the batteries become weak, the BATT (TCM-S63/S64V/S66V) or
REC/BATT (TCM-S67V/S68V) indicator will glow faintly and the
playback sound will become distorted or unstable. In this case, replace
both batteries with new ones.

¢ The power indicator lights in green as long as the AC power adaptor is
plugged to the wall outlet and the DC IN SV jack, even when the
charging
has not been done.
Use only the supplied or recommended AC power adaptor, battery
charge adaptor and rechargeable batteries.
¢ Remove the rechargeable batteries from the battery charge adaptor to
avoid overcharging (more than 20 hours). Doing so may damage the
rechargeable batteries.

Nickel-Cadmium batteries are recyclable. You can help preserve
our environment by returning your unwanted batteries to your
nearest Sony Service Center for collection, recycling or proper
disposal.
Note: in some areas the disposal of nickel-cadmium batteries in
household or business trash may be prohibited.

Caution: Do not handle damaged or leaking nickel-cadmium

Note on the AC power adaptor
Use only the supplied AC power adaptor (TCM-S66V) or the AC-E30M
AC power adaptor (not supplied). Do not use any other AC power
adaptor.

Note
Power will be supplied through the AC power adaptor or the car battery
cord when it is connected to the unit instead of the installed batteries,
Make sure that the AC power adaptor or the car battery cord is
disconnected from the unit when you wish to use the unit with the
installed batteries.
