In case of difficulty
What appears to be a malfunction may not always be serious. If your unit should not perform as expected, consult the
table below to see if the problem can be corrected before seeking help from your dealer or service representative.

Remote control operation is not possible.
Amplifier and speakers

Sound is not output.
Sound is not output from one of the
speakers.
Tuner
The clock display is blinking without
changing from a certain time.
The timer does not work.
@ Batteries are exhausted.
@ The system control cords are not connect-
ed properly.
@ The remote control unit is too far away
from the main system, controlling angle is
too large, or there is an obstacle in
between.
@ The source component to be operated
does not contain the tape(s) or CD.
e An attempt is made to play a tape which is
being recorded in the cassette deck.

Remedy
@ Replace with new batteries.
e Connect properly referring to "System
connections".
@ Operate the remote control unit within the
controllable range.
@ Place the tape(s) or CD in the source
component to be played.
e@ Wait until the recording is completed.
Remedy
@ The speaker cords are disconnected.
@ The volume is set to the minimum
position.
@ The [MUTE] key of the remote control unit
is set to ON.
@ The speaker cord is disconnected.
e@ The BALANCE control is set to an extreme
position.

@ There was a power failure.
@ The power cord was unplugged.
@ The current time is not set, or there was a
power failure.
@ The timer ON time and OFF time have not
