Recording on cassette deck (Deck B only)
ONE WAY _ Tape transport
If the Kenwood Surround Processor SS-992 or SS-592 is
MODE key —_ direction indicators
connected to this unit, be sure to perform the following
operations when recording.
@ Set the surround mode to BYPASS mode.
e Set the SS-992's volume control to the center (15) position and do
not move it from that position.
@ Set the SS-592's MASTER LEVEL control to-10dB and do not move
it from that position.

Adjust the recording level.
Take up the tape completely
to a reel and
insert it after
exposing the recordable por-
(@ Insert a tape in deck B. _ tionbyfeedingthe leader tape
portion.
(@) Play the musical source and output its sound.
@ Since this unit is not designed for use
with metal tapes, recording on meial
tapes cannot be carried out.

Press the CRLS key.
@) Set the tape transport
direction.

@ |f you press the Record key while the indicator is blinking, the

key is pressed while the indicator is blinking,
the level adjustment is terminated at that moment and the
deck enters the record-pause mode.
@ The recording jevel setting is suspended if the sound of source
is not input within about 5 second after the
key has been
pressed.
@) Select the Dolby NR mode.
