Intended use

The door bolt 843G is an electrically operated magnet bolt for (additional) locking
of gates and large doors in the private or commercial sector, both indoors and
outdoors. For the intended function of the door bolt, the accompanying lock
counterpart with a magnet for detecting that the door is open must be mounted.
If the door bolt is surrounded by ice or snow, a functional failure is possible.
Protect the door bolt with a suitable insulating material. Switch on the bolt
heating („DIP switch", Seite 32).
The electrical installation and mounting must be carried out by specialist
tradesmen from the relevant trade or trained persons.
The door bolt can be mounted vertically with locking mechanism facing down-
wards or surface-mounted horizontally ("Assembly examples", page 29).
To avoid trip hazards, the door bolt and lock counterpart must not be mounted in
the ground.
The USB connection is designed for factory use and must not be connected.
The device is suitable for use at doors and in environments without special safety
requirements regarding life and injury hazards.
The bolt does not have VdS certification and is therefore unsuitable as a blocking
element for burglary alarm systems, for example.
The device is suitable for installation and use as per these instructions. It is not
intended for any other type of use.
