6.1 Start-up and putting the
device back into operation
1. Depending on the field of application,
allow the regulator to cool down or
warm up to reach ambient temperature
before start up.
2. Slowly open the shut-off valve in the sup-
ply pipeline. Slowly opening these valves
prevents a sudden surge in pressure and
high flow velocities which can damage
the regulator.
3. Apply the upstream pressure p
control line (2.4) for the pilot valve (2).
4. Check the regulator to ensure it functions
properly.
