USING THE AUTO SOURCE CONTROL
{Recalling]
Press the AUTO SOURCE CONTROL button (1 or 2) for the settings
you want to recall.
Remote control AUTO SOURCE CONTROL buttons (1 or 2) can also
be used to recall settings.
In the case of the example, the following operations are performed.
@ Press the AUTO SOURCE CONTROL 1 button.
@) Power to the receiver switches ON, the INPUT SELECTOR selects

CD, settings for such parameters as DIRECT, surround, and tone
are called up, and power to the CD player is switched ON.
@® Play starts on the CD player.
@ Volume level is raised by the MASTER VOLUME on the receiver.
NOTE:
© Since the power ON and play signals for components bearing the
(|
mark called by Auto source control are output through this
unit's CONTROL OUT jack, be sure to connect the control cord (refer
to page 24).
® With some components, even if they bear the
mark, power
cannot be switched on and off by remote control. 73 this is the case,
by connecting the other unit's power cord to this unit's SWITCHED
AC OUTLET, and leaving the other unit's power switch ON, power
switching will depend on whether this unit is on or off.
© Volume level can not be raised above the center setting.
e AUTO SOURCE CONTROL memory stores the receiver settings at
that point in time; it does not memorize STATION CALL numbers
(1—30),
CUSTOM
MEMORY,
STATION
NAME,
ENHANCER
MEMORY
(A—E), or ACOUSTIC MEMORY
(A—E, LOUDNESS,
FLAT).
With auto source contro!, power ON/OFF signals and play signals are
output from the CONTROL OUT jack at the times shown in the following
chart.
At these times, PLAY O00 is displayed (000 is the function).

By incorporating the separately sold MR-100
Multi-Room
System
remote control unit, you can enjoy playing two sources at the same time.
MR & S operation is not possible when the REC SELECTOR is ON.
MR & S operation is not possible when the surround is ON.
Remote control operation in Sub room
(With Sub room, only remote contro! operation is possible.)
1. The following remote control button can be used to operate the
receiver in Sub room.
© RECEIVER POWER button. (When MR & Si is ON)
¢ RETURN button.
© Input selector buttons except TAPE 2 MONITOR.
® MASTER
VOLUME
(+, —) buttons: These adjust Sub room
volume level.
© TUNER station call 1-0/10 buttons: The function automatically
switches to TUNER.
© MUTE button: When muting is turned on and then turned off,
volume does not return to the previous setting; instead it returns
to the initial volume.
* Balance operation is not possible in Sub room.
2. If you connect to the CONTROL jacks of other components, bearing
the
mark, such as a CD player or cassette deck, remote control
of these components is also possible.

3. If light from strong fluorescent lamps falls on the MR-100 rennote
sensor window, remote control operation may not be possible.
When enjoying playback on VCR 1 on speakers and the first TV momitor
installed in Main room, you can enjoy a LaserDisc on speakers
and
MULTI-ROOM TV monitor in Sub room.
