REMOTE CONTROL
RECEIVER CONTROL BUTTONS

@ RECEIVER POWER button
Switches the receiver power between ON and STANDBY.
@ Input selector buttons
Press when switching the receiver's INPUT SELECTOR.
The CONTROL MODE also switches to the same component (except
VCR 3, VIDEO, LINE and PHONO). (One CONTROL MODE button
lights.)
Pressing TAPE 1/DAT, TAPE 2 MONITOR, causes the CONTROL MODE
DECK It button to light.
@ DIRECT button
Use to listen to source sound without passing the audio signal through
sound quality or balance adjusting circuit.
@® V.SEL (VIDEO SIGNAL SELECTOR) button
This switches just the video signal in sequence, leaving the sound
unchanged.

@ ENHANCE button
The enhancer setting changes in the following manner each time this
button is pressed.

ACOUSTIC select button
The acoustic setting changes in the following manner each time this
button is pressed.

@ CONFIRM button
Use when you want to confirm receiver settings.
Press this button, and receiver settings are indicated in the display
section in sequence.
RETURN button
Press the RETURN button to return the receiver into the initial state.
TUNER is selected at this initial state. Adjust the sound level by using
the MASTER VOLUME buttons.
@ SPEAKERS A, B buttons
A: ON/OFF button for SPEAKERS A.
B: ON/OFF button for SPEAKERS B.
AUTO SOURCE CONTROL 1, 2 buttons
Use to recall settings memorized
in the receiver AUTO
SOURCE
CONTROL buttons 1 and 2.
@) SLEEP timer button
Activates the SLEEP timer. During SLEEP timer operation, the "'dimmer''
function decreases the brightness of the display section. The duration
changes in the following manner each time the button is pressed:

@) JOG MODE button
Use to select JOG MODE.
@® JOG (+, -) buttons
+: Pressing this is the same as turning the JOG dial on the main unit
in a clockwise direction.
~-: Pressing this is the same as turning the JOG dial on the main unit
in a counterclockwise direction.

MUTE button
Use to temporarily mute the sound.
The volume is restored when pressed again.
@ CENTER MODE button
When THEATER, DOLBY PRO LOGIC SURROUND or DOLBY 3CH
LOGIC are ON, use to switch the center mode (Refer to page 6).
* DOLBY PRO LOGIC SURROUND: NORMAL, PHANTOM, WIDE
¢ DOLBY 3CH LOGIC: NORMAL, WIDE
© THEATER: NORMAL, PHANTOM, WIDE
SURR (SURROUND) MODE button
The surround mode is switched in the following manne: each time the
button is pressed:

DOLBY 3CH LOGIC + DOLBY PRO LOGIC + OFF
@ TEST TONE button
Use to adjust the volume level from each speaker.
When the test tone is switched ON, ''TEST"' is displayed in the display
section, and the test tone is output through each speaker in turn for
about two seconds. Adjust yolume level so that it is the sarne from each
speaker.
MASTER VOLUME (+, -) buttons
Adjusts the overall volume.
LEVEL/BALANCE adjustment buttons/selection switch
Use to adjust speaker volume level and balance of each of tthe channels.
