Section 3 - Configuration
This window allows you to change the behavior of the 802.11g wireless radio from the standard settings. Please be aware that any changes to the
factory default settings may adversely affect the behavior of your network.
Enable Wireless:
Check to enable wireless on the router.
Fragment
The fragmentation threshold, which is specified in bytes, determines
Threshold:
whether packets will be fragmented. Packets exceeding the 2346
byte setting will be fragmented before transmission. 2346 is the
default setting.
RTS Threshold:
This value should remain at its default setting of 2346. If inconsistent
data flow is a problem, only a minor modification should be made.
Preamble Type:
Select Short or Long Preamble. The Preamble defines the length of
the CRC block (Cyclic Redundancy Check is a common technique
for detecting data transmission errors) for communication between
the wireless router and the roaming wireless network adapters.
Auto is the default setting. Note: High network traffic areas should
use the shorter preamble type.
Radio Power:
Set the transmit power of the antennas.
20/40MHz
Enable this option to reduce interference from other wireless
Coexist:
networks in your area. If the channel width is operating at 40MHz
and there is another wireless network's channel over-lapping
and causing interference, the router will automatically change to
20MHz.
