These components must be electronically matched, programmed or paired before use. This is usually done at the Girard Systems factory. Should the need arise for the user to pair a device with the motor controller they must refer to the appropriate manual for the devices applicable to their particular installation.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The GC732G Motor Controller is used to control DC motors with current requirements up to 10A. It can also provide 12v DC power for an optional LED strip and can be remotely operated with any paired G-Link handset or wall switch. The controller will receive signals from a distance of more than 500ft in open air and more than 100ft in the presence of obstructions.

WIRING DIAGRAM The GC732G must be installed on a fuse protected circuit (15A). To install: Select a convenient location inside the vehicle Route the 12VDC power supply and DC motor cables to this location Connect the power to the input wires (Red = +12VDC, Black = -12VDC) Connect the motor wires (Blue and Brown) to the motor using quick connectors.
PROGRAMMING NOTE: • Before starting this procedure the Receiver must be without power (OFF) for at least 10 seconds. • During the programming function the interval between each step required must be less than 10 seconds 1. Programming the GC732G to a Transmitter (Remote handset or switch) a.

INSTALLATION GUIDELINES The purpose of this device is to automatically send a signal to the motor controller of the fitted awning to fully retract the awning in windy weather conditions. In new installations the 98GC779 Motion sensor is preprogrammed at the factory. Replacement Motion sensors will need to be programmed.

The cable of the Motion sensor points in toward the middle of the awning, and is connected by means of a water resistant connection as shown in the photographs below. Once connected the cable should be tied and secured neatly to the awning lead rail. Page 5 of 22...

Remove the 4 Phillips Base Plate Magnet screws holding the module together. Remove the base plate and silicone insert. Insert Fig.3 Turn the base plate over (Magnet down). Reed Switch Then place the motion sensor on top of it so that the magnet is aligned with the reed switch.

This is likely to be either a 98GC1063 Single channel, or a 98GC1029 Multi channel handset. Fully extend the awning to ensure smooth operation, and then retract the awning leaving it partially open (about 3 feet).

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The 98GC229 is a Single channel RF transmitter, powered by two 3v Lithium batteries (CR2032) designed to control a single Awning by means of three push buttons. IN, STOP and OUT. As displayed in the picture below. The faceplate can be removed easily by holding the module at the left and right edges firmly in one hand and push the STOP button with two fingers of your other hand.
The module has three circular holes above the IN button. The hole on the right serves no purpose, behind the center one is the P2 button used for pairing the module with a motor controller and behind the hole on the left is a Red LED which will illuminate when any of the buttons are pressed.

Ensure that you select the correct set of instructions for the motor controller on your vehicle.
