These components must be electronically matched, programmed or paired before use. This is usually done at the Girard Systems factory. Should the need arise for the user to pair a device with the motor controller they must refer to the appropriate manual for the devices applicable to their particular installation.

Ignition Retract and Lockout module using the procedure described in this manual (see programming the delay). The 98GC1102 will send the retract signal 3 times in the first 5 seconds of the Vehicle engine starting or the parking brake being released, this will ensure that all electronically paired awnings have been sent a retract signal before the vehicle moves.

TO THE AWNING’S MOTOR CONTROL MODULE Figure 1 c) Connect the 12v wires of the 98GC1102 to the 12v ignition circuit or parking brake circuit of the vehicle. Note; When carrying out this part of the procedure each step must be executed within 10 seconds of the previous one or the module will revert to factory settings.
