STARTING, STOPPING THE ENGINE: vehicle with card
Remote engine start performance
varies according to surroundings such
as:
– Obstacles, buildings, walls, other ve-
hicles, etc.;
– radio frequency interference (tele-
vision, radio, mobile phone, other
remote controls, etc.);
– Condition of the key/card battery.
In the event that the func-
tion is used, please ensure
that power-consuming de-
vices (such as the wipers,
exterior lights, radio, heated seats,
heated steering wheel, etc.) are de-
activated and all accessories are
disconnected before leaving the ve-
hicle.
Fire hazard.
The remote engine start-up operates if:
– the gearbox is in P or N position
on vehicles fitted with an automatic
gearbox;
– the ignition is switched off;
– the bonnet is closed;
– all of the opening elements (doors
and luggage compartment) are
closed and locked when you leave
the vehicle;
– in extreme weather conditions, the
remote engine start-up by program-
ming may not work.
If one of these conditions is not met, the
lights will flash for approximately 3 sec-
onds.

Do not use the engine
remote start-up function or
its programming when:
– the vehicle is in a garage
or in a confined space.
Risk of poisoning or suffoca-
tion by exhaust gas emissions.
– the vehicle is covered with a pro-
tective cover.
Fire hazard.
– the bonnet is open or before it
opens.
Risk of burns or serious injury.
Depending on the country, the
remote start function or its pro-
gramming may be prohibited by
law and/or by the regulations in
force.
Before using this function, check
the legislation and/or the regula-
tions in force for the country.
