Using Non-Pressure Cooking Smart Programs

The Duo is much more than a pressure cooker. These non-pressure cooking
Smart Programs get you cooking quickly and easily. Always ensure the lid is set
to Venting when using non-pressure cooking programs.
The following sections provide the safest steps for using the cooker.
Always inspect your Instant Pot pressure cooking lid, inner pot and cooker base
carefully to ensure they are clean and in good working condition before use.
Do not fill inner pot higher than the PC MAX — 2/3 line as
indicated on the inner pot.
When cooking foods that expand (e.g.; rice, beans, pasta)
do not fill the inner pot higher than the — 1/2 line as
indicated on the inner pot.
WARNING
Always cook with the inner pot in place. Do not pour
food or liquid into the cooker base.
To avoid risk of personal injury and/or property damage,
place food and liquid ingredients in the inner pot, then
insert the inner pot into the cooker base.
