Using the CD-ROM
Manual
The supplied CD-ROM includes versions of the Operating
Instructions for the LMT-100 in English, Japanese,
French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Chinese in PDF
format.

Preparations

The following program must be installed on your computer
in order to read the Operating Instructions contained on the
CD-ROM.
• Adobe Reader Version 6.0 or higher
Memo
If Adobe Reader is not installed, you can download it from
the following URL:
http://www.adobe.com/

Reading the CD-ROM Manual

To read the Operating Instructions contained on the CD-
ROM, do the following.

Insert the CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive.
A cover page appears automatically in your browser.
If it does not appear automatically in the browser,
double-click on the index.htm file on the CD-ROM.

Select and click on the Operating Instructions that you
want to read.
This opens the PDF file of the Operating Instructions.
Memo
The files may not be displayed properly, depending on the
version of Acrobat Reader. In such a case, install the latest
version you can download from the URL mentioned in
"Preparations" above.
Note
If you have lost or damaged the CD-ROM, you can
purchase a new one to replace it. Contact your Sony
service representative.

a RS-232C 2 connector (D-sub 9-pin, female)
This is for maintenance use.
b LED indicators
READY indicator: Flashes when both power switches on
the rear and front panels of the unit are turned on.
When the indicator lights steadily, the unit enters
standby mode. When the unit is ready to be turned off
after being shut down by a computer with the SMS
software installed, the indicator flashes, then goes out.
The unit can be turned off completely with the power
switches on the front and rear panels.
PLAY indicator: Lights during playback of video and
audio signals.
ALARM indicator: Lights when any trouble occurs on
the unit.
For details on the indicators, see "Concerning the
Indicators" on page 20 and "Troubleshooting" on
page 21.
c FIBRE CHANNEL connector
Connects to the RAID storage disk for DCP with a
commercially available optical fibre cable.
A dustproof cap is attached at the factory.
d 1/1 (sub power) switch and 1/1 indicator
Pressing 1 on this switch when the 1/a (main power)
switch at the rear is on turns on the sub power of the unit.
The 1/1 indicator lights in green, and the READY
indicator on the front panel flashes and then lights steadily.
Then, the unit enters standby mode.
