3. GETTING STARTED
Never operate the tuner with its cover removed! Touching the components inside the
tuner while transmitting may result in RF burns and injury.
Never exceed tuner specifications! Do not transmit with a high SWR!
The information in this manual describes tuner operation with ACOM amplifiers 500S,
600S, 700S, 1200S and 2020S.
The described menus and operating messages match exactly the ACOM amplifier
600S, 700S, and 1200S functionality.
Please note that menus and operating messages on ACOM 2020S are slightly different
than described in this manual. This is normal! The ACOM 2020S uses a touch screen and
other (but very similar) control software.

3.1. Turning ON and OFF
After you complete the tuner installation instructions (see Section
master power ON/OFF switch on the back panel is in the OFF position, and the plug is pulled out of the mains
socket.
Connect the power cable of the amplifier to the wall mains socket and turn it on from the master power
ON/OFF switch on the back panel and from the POWER button on the front panel.
The ACOM 04AT tuner has no power switch.
It is turned ON and OFF together with the ACOM amplifier.
To access and operate the menus related to the tuner, you should explicitly specify that it has been installed.
