Before Calling for Service Checklist

If a problem arises during operation of your ice machine, follow the checklist below before
calling service. Routine adjustments and maintenance procedures are not covered by the
warranty.
Problem
Ice machine does not
operate.
Ice machine stops, and can
be restarted by pressing
the power switch.
Ice machine does not
release ice or is slow to
harvest.

Possible Cause
No electrical power to the ice
machine and/or condensing
unit.
High pressure cutout tripping. Clean condenser coil. (See
Energy Saver or other field
entered programming is
stopping ice machine.
Water curtain off or stuck
open.
Ice machine is not turned on. Press power button, display
IB Models Only - Dispenser ice
level thermostat is open.
Service Fault feature stopping
the ice machine.
Ice machine is dirty.
Ice machine is not level.
Low air temperature around
ice machine head section.
Fan cycle control does not de-
energize condenser fan motor.
Water regulating valve
incorrectly adjusted or will not
close.
To Correct
Replace the fuse/reset the
breaker/turn on the main
switch.

Reset to factory defaults.
Water curtain must be
installed and swinging freely.
must indicate "Making Ice".
Adjust thermostat to maintain
correct dispenser level.
Refer to "Service Faults" on
page 53.
Descale and sanitize the ice
machine. (See page 43)
Level the ice machine.
Air temperature must be at
least 35° (2°C).
Call for service.
Check for water at condenser
drain outlet in harvest cycle.
Contact a qualified service
company to adjust/replace
valve if water is present.
