Installation
This amplifier is built for 19" racks (483 mm). This rack use should be a double-door rack where front panel
and rear panel can be opened. The rack should be provided with a cooling fan. When mounting the amplifier
into the rack, please make sure that there is enough space around the device so that the heated air can be
passed on. Steady overheating will damage your device. You can fix the amplifier with four screws M6 in the
rack. If several devices are to be installed, make sure that you leave 1 unit space between the devices.
Making the connections
High voltage at terminals when using 100V PA systems. Installation by skilled personnel only!
Turn off amplifier before connecting.
To avoid interfering noise, switch off the mixing amplifier or set the output controls to minimum prior to
connecting and disconnecting equipment. The amplifier is equipped with screw terminals; to facilitate
handling, it is possible to remove the screw terminals from their plug-in connections on the amplifier and to
reinsert them after connection.
1)
Operating mode: The connection of the inputs depends on the operating mode selected. Before
making any connections, select the operating mode for your application ( chapter 5).
2)
Inputs: Connect signal sources with line level (e. g. preamplifier) to the INPUT CH 1-6/8 XLR terminals.
3)
Feed-through outputs: For parallel connection of a further PA amplifier, the feed-through outputs LINK
CH 1-6/8 can be used.
4)
Speaker outputs: In stereo mode, the amplifier can operate 6/8 speakers or 6/8 speaker groups. The
speaker connection is made via plug-in screw terminals or via speaker jacks. When using the Speaker
jacks, turn each plug to the right until it locks into place. For unlocking, pull the unlock button and turn
the plug to the left.
Both models can be switched over to bridge operation. Then they operate as 3-/4-channel amplifier and
supply power to 3/4 8 Ω speakers or speaker groups. Use the red speaker jacks of the channel pair for
the connection.
Alternatively, it is possible to operate 100V PA speakers or speaker groups.
Notes: Always use sufficiently dimensioned cables (min. 2.5 mm²). When interconnecting several
speakers, it is especially important to consider the correct connection to positive and negative contacts
and that the minimum total impedance is 4 Ω for stereo and parallel operation, and 8 Ω for bridge
operation. Please refer to skilled personnel if you are not familiar with the connection of several
speakers.
Examples of how to keep the minimum impedance of 4 Ω:

Power supply: Finally connect the amplifier to a mains outlet with the mains cable.
