Charging

Before use, ensure the headphones have a full charging.
During use, if red light instead of blue light blinks, it indicates low battery level and please use it after fully charged.
Red light steady lit = charging
Red light off = fully charged
Charging time: about 2 hours for a full charging

to avoid battery life shortage, please at least charge the headphones once per three months.


The rechargeable batteries that provide power for this product must be disposed properly for recycling.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire to prevent an explosion.

How to operate the headphones

Power ON/OFF

1. Power ON:
   Press and hold the multifunction button for 3 seconds until blue light is on, there will be a prompt tone.
2. Power OFF:
   Press and hold the multifunction button for 4 seconds until red light is on, there will be a prompt tone.

How to wear the headphones

1. Please select the appropriate earmuffs for your ear.
2. Please ensure left sound channel for left ear and right for right ear, moderately insert earbuds into ears and adjust the earbuds to ensure the headphones fit comfortably and securely.

Pairing and Connection

Connection with Bluetooth mobile phone
The steps are as below:

• Place the headphones near mobile phone, the closer the better. When turned off, press and hold the multifunction button for 5 seconds until the red and blue light blinks alternately, it enters pairing mode.
• Set Bluetooth phone to search for and pair with "EDIFIER W285BT"; Wait until hearing a prompt tone and the blue light will blink twice per 5 seconds.

Note:

• PIN code for connection is "0000" if needed.
• After pairing is complete, the headphones will auto-connect to the device connected last time when powered on again.

Connect two Bluetooth devices simultaneously

• Pair the headphones with the first mobile phone.
• Turn off the headphones, then press and hold the multifunction button to let the headphones enter pairing status, and connect with the second mobile phone.
• Then operate the first mobile phone to select "EDIFIER W285BT", and it completes to connect two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.

Note: When two Bluetooth devices have different operating systems (eg one has Android and the other is iOS), some cross-system operations (eg pause music in Android and play music in iOS) may be delayed. Please be aware that this is normal.

Battery level display

When paired with iOS devices, current battery level will appear on the headphones.

Calling

Basic call operation

Note:

• For the optimum talking effect, please place the microphone near the mouth as closer as possible.
• When answer incoming call via mobile phone, the call will be send to the mobile phone firstly. To transfer talk to the headphones, you can either enable call switching function of the headphones or operate your phone. Please see your mobile phone manual for details.

Play music

Note:
To enjoy remote playback control functions (previous track/ next track/pause/play), please ensure your mobile phone or Bluetooth transmitter supports AVRCP profile.

Clear the pairing list

• Under charging, press and hold the multifunction button and volume + button for about 5 seconds, blue light blinks six times and all the pairing lists will be cleared;
• After clearing is complete, the headphone will auto-enter pairing status when powered on again.

Restore to factory settings

If the headphone can not be powered on after fully charged or have no reaction when used, please follow the steps below to rest it:
Connect the headphone to USB port of computer or to USB power adapter using charging cable, when the red light is lit, it means restoration of the headphone is successful.

Maintenance

During using, please read the following advices carefully to help you comply with warranty terms and extend the product's service life.

• Keep the product away from humid places to avoid affecting internal circuit.
• Do not put the product in places exposed to sun or with high temperature. High temperature will shorten service life of electronic components, damage battery and deform plastic components.
• Do not put the product in cold places to avoid damaging internal circuit board.
• Do not dismantle the product. Non-professional personnel may damage the product.
• Do not drop, strongly vibrate, strike the product with hard object to avoid damaging internal circuit.
• Do not use drastic chemicals or cleaner to clean the product.
• Do not use sharp objects to scratch product surface to avoid damaging shell and affecting appearance.

If the product cannot operate properly, please send it to your qualified maintenance agency for repair.

FAQs

1. Red light instead of blue light flashes.
   Answer: It indicates the headphone is in low battery level, please recharge the headphone.
2. Red light is off during charging.
   Answer:
   1. Please ensure the charging device is correctly connected with the headphone.
   2. When the headphone is not used for long periods of time, the battery will enter sleep state. It needs to charge about 30 minutes and then the red light will be lit.
3. No sound heard from the headphone.
   Answer:
   1. Check if the headphone is operating.
   2. Check if the headphone volume is at an appropriate level.
   3. Check if the headphone is correctly connected with mobile phone.
   4. Check if the headphone is operated within an effective distance.
4. The headphone calling effect is bad.
   Answer:
   1. Check if mobile phone is in an area with strong signal.
   2. Please ensure the headphone is within effective distance (10m ) and no obstacle between the headphone and mobile phone.
5. When playing music, unable to control pause/play/previous track/next track via headphone.
   Answer: Please ensure the paired device support AVRCP (Audio/ Video Remote Control Profile) profile.

Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.
Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
A warning that batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced.
Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
For products with removable battery, the battery must be properly recycled or disposed. For products with built-in battery, disassembling is prohibited.

Do not insert plug into electric sockets.
Supervise children when using the equipment, the product is not a toy.
Earphone listening at high volume levels – particularly, over extended periods of time – may damage your hearing.
The operation of switches on your hi-fi system or plugging in the earphones may cause clicks which at high volume setting may affect your hearing. Therefore, always set the volume control to minimum before switching between different sources (tuner, turntable, CD player, etc.) or plugging in the earphones.
For traffic safety, do not use earphones while driving or cycling.
