Description

W288BT is an in-ear Bluetooth stereo ear-bud. It is pretty small and portable, supporting call and music functions at the same time. Whenever and wherever you could perform wireless conversation and enjoy high-quality Bluetooth music. Besides, it supports NFC fast-paring provided that your Bluetooth phone has NFC function. It will automatically pair only need you touch phone with ear-bud for a moment.

Charging

There's a built-in rechargeable battery in the ear-bud, please fully charge the battery when using for the first time. During using, if only red light blinks and a series of warning tone sounds per 5 minutes, it means low battery level and you need to charge the ear-bud.

  1. Plug USB charging cable into USB slot of PC.
  2. Open the rear cover of charging port and connect the charging cable to Micro USB charging port.

Charging time

The battery needs approx. 2 hrs for a full charge.



Shall appropriately dispose the rechargeable battery for recycling.
Please contact the local recycling center to obtain appropriate disposal.
To reduce the risk of explosion, do not put this product into fire.

How to use the ear-bud

Power on/off

Power on/off

Power on: press button for approximately 4 seconds, and release it when the blue indicator lights. The ear-bud will ring 4 times indicator tone.

Power off: press button for approximately 4 seconds, and release it when the red indicator lights. The ear-bud will ring 4 times indicator tone.

Note: If you can't connect any device within 5 minutes after power on, the ear-bud will automatically power off to safe energy.

How to wear ear-bud

Wearing ear-buds - Step 1

  1. As the illustration, install the ear-hook onto ear-bud and rotate it to an appropriate location.
  2. According to your ear holes size, select the best suitable ear cases and install them on the speakers.
  3. As the illustration, according to right/left channel wear the ear-bud on right/left ear and rotate the ear-bud to a comfortable position.

Pair/connect

Pair the ear-bud with Bluetooth phones

Please pair your ear-bud with Bluetooth phones when it is in first use.

The step as follow:

  1. Please keep the distance within 1m between phones and ear-bud, more nearer, more better.
  2. Press button for approximately 8 seconds and then release it when the red & blue indicator blinks alternately, the ear-bud is into the pairing mode.
  3. Open the phone's Bluetooth function to search the Bluetooth device. Select "W288BT" to pair. When successfully connected, the ear-bud blue indicator blinks twice per 4 seconds.

Note:

  1. PIN code for connection is "0000" if needed.
  2. Pair mode will last 2 minutes. The ear-bud will automatically switch to standby mode when no pair with any device over 2 minutes.
  3. The ear-bud and phone will remember each other after pair finished. No need to pair the device next time. The ear-bud will automatically connect the latest paired device when turn on.

Use NFC function to pair with the Bluetooth phones

  1. Turn on the ear-bud and switch on the NFC function on your Bluetooth phone.
  2. Put your phone near the ear-bud NFC area. The phone will be made automatically by NFC. Your phone is now connected to the ear-bud.

  1. When in first use, you need to touch the ear-bud with phones for approximately 3 seconds. You can move away the phone when the ear-bud red/blue indicator alternatively blinks. If not, it may fail to pair.
  2. If the ear-bud has connected to phone, it will automatically disconnect when phone again touches the ear-bud NFC area.

Pair/connect with more devices

This ear-bud can build connection with two Bluetooth devices at the same time. When in first use, one with two functions of the ear-bud is by default close; you can switch on it by hand. If need to pair/connect with more devices, please follow the below steps.

  1. Firstly pair and connect with the 1st device.
  2. Restart the ear-bud and make it into pair mode, then pair and connect with the 2nd device.
  3. Operate on the 1st device, select to connect with this ear-bud. Then the ear-bud is connected with the 1st and the 2nd device at the same time.

Note:

  • Turn on the one with two function: Press and hold and keys in standby status at the same time, then loosen the keys when hearing 4 prompt tones from low to high.
    Turn off the one with two function: Press and hold and keys in standby status at the same time, then loosen the keys when hearing 4 prompt tones from high to low.
  • If the ear-bud has connected two devices, the ear-bud can automatically connect the two devices when it is on again.
  • If you only need to connect one phone, we advise to turn off its one with two function to improve the ear-bud using performance.

Note:

  • When ear-bud volume is adjusted to the maximum or minimum, you will hear a prompt tone.
  • When ear-bud is in mute condition, you will continuously hear a prompt tone twice per 10 seconds.
  • For some phones, press its answer key to answer the incoming call, communication will firstly transmit to the phone. At this moment, you can use ear-bud's call switch function or operate on the phone to switch the call to ear-bud. Please refer to your phone manual for detailed operation.

Note:

  • When ear-bud volume is adjusted to the maximum or minimum, you will hear a prompt tone.
  • For remote-playing control function (previous/next track/pause/resume), your phone or Bluetooth launcher needs to support AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).

Restore factory settings

When charging, press and hold button for approx. 4 seconds, red and blue lights blink at the same time and there are 4 prompt tones.

Note:

  • After restoring factory settings, ear-bud's pairing list will be eliminated. When power on ear-bud again, it automatically enters pairing mode instead of auto-connection. If need to connect to devices, please re-pair with it.

Maintenance

During using please read the below suggestions carefully to help you comply with maintenance terms and extend this product's service life.

  • Keep dry and do not put in humid places to avoid affecting inner circuit. Avoid using this product during intense exercises or periods of sweating many, to prevent sweat falling into it and damage it.
  • Do not put in places exposed to direct sun or heat. Heat will shorten electronic component's service life, damage the battery and make some plastic parts deform.
  • Do not put in under-cooled places to avoid damaging inner circuit board.
  • Do not attempt to open this product. If not qualified service personnel, it may damage this product.
  • Do not drop, intensely shake or knock this product with hard-body, to avoid damaging inner circuit.
  • Do not use potent chemicals or detergents to clear ear-bud.
  • Do not scarify on its surface with sharp-body to avoid damaging external cover and affecting appearance.

FAQs

  1. Red indicator replacing blue indicator blinks.
    Answer: it means ear-bud's low battery level; you need to re-charge the ear-bud.
  2. During charging, red indicator doesn't light.
    Answer:
    1. Please ensure that charging device is well connected with ear-bud.
    2. When unused for a long period of time, the battery will be in sleeping status.
      And red indicator would light after charging approx. 30 minutes.
  3. No sound from ear-bud
    Answer:
    1. Confirm it is in working condition.
    2. Confirm if its volume is appropriate.
    3. Confirm if it is normally connected with mobile phone.
    4. Confirm if it is in the normal operating range.
  4. Bad calling effect
    Answer:
    1. Confirm if mobile phone is in strong-signal area.
    2. Ear-bud's effective range is 10m, please confirm it is within this effective range and there's no barrier between ear-bud and mobile phone.
  5. When playing, unable to perform pause, resume, previous/next track control with ear-bud
    Answer: The devices paired with headphone need to support AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
  6. Impossible to use NFC to pair and connect
    Answer:
    1. Confirm if mobile phone's NFC function is open.
    2. For first pairing, you need to touch phone with ear-bud for approx. 3 seconds until red and blue lights blink alternately, and then take the phone away, otherwise it may fail to pair.
