    Installation/Connections Choose the mounting location where the unit will not interfere with the normal driving function of the driver. Before finally installing the unit, connect the wiring and make sure that the unit works properly. Consult with your nearest dealer if installation requires the drilling of holes or other modifications of the vehicle.
  • Page 6 2. After installing the sleeve into the dashboard, bend tabs fitting to the size of the dashboard to fix the sleeve in place. 3. Use the metal strap to fix the rear side of the unit. Determine a place for fixing and install the strap as shown in the picture.
  • Page 7 2. DIN REAR-MOUNT (Method B) For this method, use the screw holes in the lateral sides of the unit. Fix the unit with the help of the factory radio mounting brackets. 1. Select a position in which the screw holes of the brackets (3) are aligned with the screw holes in the unit body, and screw in two screws (2) in each side.
  • Page 8 Connection diagram Notes: In spite of having any kinds of speaker system, must use 4 ohms impedance of speaker to reduce the distortion during high volume level. Prohibit to make the conductors of auto antenna and ground touch with each other.
  • Page 9 Using the ISO Connector 1. If your car is equipped with the ISO connector, then connect the ISO connectors as illustrated. 2. For connections without the ISO connectors, check the wiring in the vehicle carefully before connecting, incorrect connection may cause serious damage to this unit. Cut the connector, connect the colored leads of the power cord to the car battery as shown in the colour code table below for speaker and power cable connections.

  • Page 13 Changing the battery Pull out the battery tray. Insert the 1 x lithium battery, type CR 2025 3V battery with the stamped (+) mark facing upward. Insert the battery tray into the remote control. Warning: Store the battery where children cannot reach. If a child accidentally swallows the battery, consult a doctor immediately.

    General operations Power button Press any button (except RELEASE and EJECT) on the panel or insert a disc to switch the unit on. Press POWER button to switch the unit off. When you switch off the unit, volume and radio settings are memorized and will be active when you switch on the unit again.

    Radio operations Band selection Press repeatedly BAND button on the RC or BND button on the panel to select your desired radio band in radio mode: FM1, FM2, FM3, FM4 (OIRT), MW1 (AM1), MW2 (AM2). Each band can store 6 preset stations, for a total of 36 preset memory stations.
  • Page 18 Press SEL button repeatedly to choose LOCAL (DX). Rotate VOL regulator or press VOL+/- buttons on the RC to switch between LOCAL and DX. When the LOCAL function is on, the local stations (stations with weak radio signal) can be played. When the DX function is on both local and distant stations (stations with strong radio signal) can be played.
  • Page 19 Press TA button to turn TA function on or off. Or press and hold SEL button, then press it repeatedly until the display shows TA ON (OFF), then rotate VOL regulator or press VOL+/- buttons on the RC to switch TA function ON or OFF.

    Disc/USB/SD/MMC operations Loading and ejecting a disc Turn the power on. Insert the disc with the printed side facing upward into the slot. Press EJECT button to eject the disc. MMC/SD card slot Detach the front panel. Carefully insert an SD/MMC card into the card slot on the inner panel. Attach the panel.

Repeat playback When RPT/3 button is pressed, playback of the selected track will be continually repeated until the track repeat mode is cancelled by pressing RPT/3 button again.

    Handling compact discs Do not insert anything other than a CD into the CD loading slot. Do not use cracked, chipped, warped, or otherwise damaged discs as they may cause skipping or noise damage the player. Handle the disc only by the edges (as shown in the picture). To keep discs clean do not touch its surface. Store discs in their cases when not in use.
