Operation of the TA-600

Working of telescopic extractor hood
Once the extractor hood is opened, the lighting and the fan can be switched on. When the extractor
hood is pushed into the closed position, the hood switches off the motor. You can switch the lighting
on either in the open or the closed position. When the extractor hood is opened, immediately
switches to the previous motor status.
Fan speed + lighting
The motor of the extractor hood has 4 speeds. Speed 1-2-3 for normal use and 4, which is the boost
setting; for further explanation see the touch control appendix. The lighting is also dimmable by
applying continuous pressure on the light symbol.
Air supply is important
When using the extractor hood, there must always be an air supply in the room, which means that
fresh air can flow in. The supply of fresh air can be provided by opening a window or a door or by
installing an air supply vent. However large the kitchen or the room with an open-plan kitchen is, the
extractor hood can only extract as much air from the room as comes in.
Inadequate air supply can cause a reduction in performance of 50% or more.
Too little incoming air can cause blowback in other ducts,
such as the exhaust flue of the open fireplace or other combustion devices.
This leads to a risk of asphyxiation due to gases and combustion gases being sucked back in.
TIPS
The most effective way of removing the cooking fumes is:
Switching on the extractor hood for a few minutes
before starting to cook.
Switching off the extractor hood about 15 minutes
after finishing cooking.
Avoid draught above the hob.
Place your cookware so that rising
fumes are underneath the extractor surface
of the hood.
Cooking with induction: once the content of
the saucepan is boiling, reduce the intensity
of the hob to limit overproduction of fumes.
