CD-ROM and Floppy Drive Installation
The top cover of the chassis must be opened to gain full access to the CD-
ROM and floppy drive bays. The 6024H-8R/6024H-i accomodates only slim
type CD-ROM drives. Side mounting brakets are typically needed to mount
a slim CD-ROM drive in the 6024H-8R/6024H-i server.
First, release the retention screws that secure the server unit to the rack.
Grasp the two handles on either side and pull the unit straight out until it
locks (you will hear a "click"). Next, depress the two buttons on the top of
the chassis to release the top cover and at the same time, push the cover
away from you until it stops.
