Watch Dog Enable/Disable

JWD controls the Watch Dog func-
tion. Watch Dog is a system monitor
that can reboot the system when a
software application is "hung up". Pins
1-2 will cause WD to reset the system
if an application is hung up. Pins 2-3
will generate a non-maskable interrupt
signal for the application that is hung
up. See the table on the right for jump-
er settings. Watch Dog must also be
enabled in BIOS.
Note: When enabled, the user must
write their own application software in
order to disable the Watch Dog Timer.

Power LED/Speaker

On the JD1 header, pins 1-3 are for
a power LED and pins 4-7 are for the
speaker.
Note: The speaker connector pins are
for use with an external speaker. If
you wish to use the onboard speaker,
you should close pins 6-7 with a
jumper.

5-10 Onboard Indicators

LAN1/LAN2 LEDs

The Ethernet ports (located beside
the VGA port) have two LEDs. On
each Gb LAN port, one LED indicates
activity when blinking while the other
LED may be green, amber or off to
indicate the speed of the connection.
See the table on the right for the func-
tions associated with the connection
speed LED.
