The Powerwinch Folding Camper Winch is used
to raise and lower the tops of folding campers.
When properly set, the winch will automatically
stop operation when the camper top is fully ex-
tended and retracted.
Winch operation - Raising Camper Top Winch operation - Raising Camper Top
Warning: Camper must be on a hard level
surface.
Danger: Keep all objects away from camper
and camper top while winch is in operation.
Danger: Disconnect camper from towing ve-
hicle before raising or lowering camper top.
Warning: Camper must be leveled before
extening or retracting top.
Warning: All latches securing camper top to
camper must be released before operating
winch.
Danger: Do not extend camper top beyond
visual height indicators on camper.
1. Make sure camper is on a hard, level sur-
face.
2. Disconnect camper from trailering vehicle.
3. Release latches securing camper top to
camper.
4. Push winch control switch in the up direction
and hold until camper top is fully extended and
winch motor shuts off.
5. Do not extend camper top beyond visual
height indicators on camper.
6. Release switch when camper top is fully
extended.

Danger: Make sure camper is empty of
people, animals and other objects.
Warning- Camper must be on a hard level
surface.
Danger: Keep all objects away from camper
and camper top while winch is in operation.
Danger: Disconnect camper from towing ve-
hicle before raising or lowering camper top.
Warning: Camper must be leveled before
retracting roof.

1. Make sure camper is on a hard, level surface.
2. Disconnect camper from trailering vehicle.
3. Make sure camper is empy of all people, ani-
mals or other objects.
4. Push winch control switch in the down direc-
tion and hold until camper top is fully retracted
and the winch motor turns off.
5. Do not retract camper top beyond visual indi-
cators on camper.
6. Secure camper top to camper with latches
provided on camper.
Folding Camper Winch Adjustment Folding Camper Winch Adjustment
As the cable in the camper top is used it will
stretch. Cable stretching may cause the winch to
not fully extend or retract the top. The winch can
be manually adjusted to account for the cable
stretch. Refer to Figure 1 and follow the instruc-
tions below to adjust the winch back into proper
operation.
Setting the lower winch limit
(Refer to Figure 1)
Tools needed: Two ajustable wrenches.
Danger: Disconnet power to winch before
performing any maintenance or adjusment to
the winch.
Danger: A minimum of three wraps of cable
must be on the cable shaft to safely support
the load of the camper top.
1. Lower camper top to lowest limit allowed by
camper visual indicator.
2. Make sure that a minimum of three wraps of
cable are on the cable shaft
3. Disconnect power to winch.
4. Remove the switch disk locking screw.
5. The switch disk can be spun on it shaft. Spin
the disk until it comes in contact with the lower
limit switch.
6. Replace the switch disk locking screw making
sure the small notch in the bottom of the disk is
riding on the switch disk locking screw.
7. Reconnect power to the winch.
8. Engage the control switch in the down
