Procedure

Remove the six screws (M2x7) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

Loosen the three captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3
Using your fingertips, pry the base cover off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly from the top left corner.
4
Lift the base cover off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
