Clean the area around the filter-mounting area.

Place a drain pan under the filter.

Remove the filter.
Dispose of the used filter at a certified recycling
center.

Lubricate the new filter gasket with clean
hydraulic fluid; refer to

Wipe clean the filter-mounting area with a rag.

Thread the filter on until the gasket contacts
the mounting plate, then tighten the filter an
additional 1/2 turn.

Start the engine, set the throttle at fast idle, and
let the engine run 3 to 5 minutes to purge air
from the hydraulic system.

Shut off the engine, check the hydraulic-fluid
level, and check for leaks; refer to

Service Interval: Every 2,000 hours—If you
are using the recommended
hydraulic fluid, change the
hydraulic fluid.
Every 800 hours—If you are not using the
recommended hydraulic fluid or have ever
filled the reservoir with an alternative fluid,
change the hydraulic fluid.

Hot hydraulic fluid can cause severe burns.
Allow the hydraulic fluid to cool before
performing any maintenance to the hydraulic
system.
Important:
You may void the warranty on some
components if you use any other fluid.

Replace the hydraulic-fluid filters; refer to

Clean the area around a hydraulic-hose fitting on
the bottom of the hydraulic-fluid tank

Place a large drain pan under the hydraulic tank
fittings.

Remove the hose fitting from the tank, allowing
the fluid to drain into the pan
Dispose of the used fluid at a certified recycling
center.
5.
Install the hose and fitting to the tank and tighten
it securely.

Fill the hydraulic reservoir with approximately
53 L (14 US gallons) of specified hydraulic
fluid or equivalent; refer to
Specifications (page
