List of Symptoms

Symptom
Machine will not turn on
Main cylinder will not retract
Main cylinder will not extend
Opposing cylinder will not retract
Opposing cylinder will not extend
Machine will not cycle
Cause
Machine power sources not
connected
Customer utilities not connected
Control panel power switch faulty
Limit switch sequence not made
Ice not in hopper
Oil pressure too low
Limit switch faulty
Limit switch sequence not made
Oil pressure too low
Limit switch faulty
Limit switch sequence not made
Compact hold delay (TDR-1) faulty
Oil pressure too low
Limit switch faulty

Limit switch sequence not made
Ice not in hopper
Solution
Check machine connection to power
sources
Check disconnect on power sources
Check power switch on control
panel for damage
Check that LS-2 and LS-5 are tripped,
that LS-1 is in normal position, and
that ice is in the hopper
Check that ice completely fills the
hopper
Check hydraulic fluid level in sump
and fill if low
Check condition of limit switches
and replace if damaged
Check that LS-4 tripped
Check hydraulic fluid level in sump
and fill if low
Check condition of limit switches
and replace if damaged
Check that LS-1 and LS-2 are tripped
Check that TDR-1 cycles on and off
as indicated by red light on control
panel and replace if faulty
Check hydraulic fluid level in sump
and fill if low
Check condition of limit switches
and replace if damaged
See "Main cylinder will not extend"
Check that LS-2 and LS-5 are tripped,
that LS-1 is in normal position, and
that ice is in the hopper
Check that ice completely fills the
hopper
