Clean the machine daily by rinsing it with clean wat er
after the work is finished.
WARNING! Do not use high-pressur e

washers to clean the machine.

They can cause serious, even fatal,
personal inj ur ies.
•
Check that the cord and extension cord are intact and
in good c ondition. Nev er use the machine if the cord is
damaged, hand it in to an authorized service
workshop for repair.
•
Check that nuts and screws are ti ght.
Drive belt
Che ck the tension of the drive belt.
•
For correct tensioning of the drive belt , the s quare nut
s hould be positioned opposite the marking on the belt
c over.
Tensioning the dr ive belt
•
A new drive belt s hould be retightened after about one
hour' s use.
•
The drive belt is enclosed and well protected from
dust and dirt.
•
When t he drive belt is t o be tensioned, release the
bolts holding the cutting arm.

MAINTENANCE
•
Sc rew the adjuster screw so that the square headed
nut c omes opposite the mar king on the c ov er. This
automatic ally ensures that the belt has the correc t
tension.
Replacing the drive belt
•
First release the two bolts and t hen the adjuster sc rew
to release the belt tension.
•
Now unscrew the bolt s and dismantle the belt guard.
•
Remove the belt from the belt pulley.
•
The c utt ing head is now loo se and can be removed
from the machine. Remove the rear belt guard by
re le asing the two sc rews holding the guard.
•
Replace the drive belt.
•
As semble in t he reverse order as set out for
dismantling.

Check the drive gear for wear.
