Protective equipment

General
Do not use t he mac hine unless you are able to call for help
in t he event of an acc ident.
Personal protective equipment
You must use approved personal protective equipment
whenever you use t he machine. Personal prot ective
equipment cannot eliminate the risk of injury but it will
reduce the degree of injury if an accident does happen.
Ask your dealer for help in choosing the right equipment.
WARNING! The use of products such as

cutters, grinders, drills, that sand or form
materi al can generate dust and vapours
which may contain hazardous chemi cals.
Che ck the nature of the material you
in te nd to process and use an appropriate
br eathing mask.
Long-term exposure to noise can result
in permanent hearing imp air ment. So
always use appr oved hearing protection.
Li sten out for warning signals or sh outs
when you are wearing hearing
protection. Always remove your hearing
protection as soon as the engine stops.
Always wear:
Approved protective helmet
Hearing prot ect ion
Approved ey e protection. I f y ou use a face shield t hen
you must also wear approved protective goggles .
Approv ed prot ective goggles must comply with
s tandard ANSI Z87.1 in the USA or EN 166 in EU
c ountries. Visors must comply with standard EN 1731.
Breathing mask
Heav y-dut y, firm grip gloves.
Tight-fitting, heavy-duty and comfortable c lothing that
permit s full freedom of movement.
Boots with s teel toe-caps and non-slip sole.
Other protective equipment
CAUTION! Spar ks may appear and start a

fir e wh en you work with the ma chine.
Always keep fire fighting equipment
handy.

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in t he warnings refers to your
mains-operated (corded) power t ool or battery-operated
(cordless) power tool.
Work are a safety
Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark
areas i nvite acc idents.
Do not oper ate power tool s i n explosive
atmospheres, such as i n the pr esence of
flammabl e l iquids, gases or dust. Power tools
create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
Keep chi ldren and bystanders away whil e
ope rating a power tool. Di s tractions c an cause you
to lose control.
Do not use the machine in bad weather, such as
dense fog, rain, strong wind, intense c old, etc.
Working in bad weat her is ti ring and can lead t o
dangerous conditions, e.g. slipper y surfaces.
Ensure when cutting that no material can become
lo ose and fall, causing operating injury. T ake great
care when working on sloping ground.

all instr uctions. Failure to follow the
warnings and i nstructions may r esul t in
electric shock, fir e and/or serious inj ury.
WARNING! The safety distance for the
power cutter is 15 metres (50 foot). You
are responsible to ensur e that animals
and onlookers are not within the wor king
area. Do not start cutting until the
working area is clear and you are
standing firmly.
