Knife removal/installation
To remove the knives, proceed as follows:
1.
Open the lock-out valve.
2.
First give a shot of oil pressure by means of the tractor hydraulic control in the
direction of drawer lift to get some clearance in the drawer frame latches.
3.
Pull the safety lock (4) upwards to enable the latching hooks (2) to turn away.
Unlatch the hooks (2) by moving the lever (5) counter-clockwise.
4.
Provide the hooks (2) from engaging by lowering the safety lock (4) again.
5.
Lower the knife drawer frame by means of the tractor hydraulic control. At the
same time, the knife cylinder will retract, to lower the knives.
6.
When the knife drawer frame is completely down, unlock the knife drawer lock
(3) and pull the knife drawer (1) out using the handle (6).
7.
Once the knife drawer (1) has
been rolled out remove the
knives. Turn over the knife to
the front by holding the top of
the knife, then lift the knife to
easily remove it.
