Setting Up Monitoring Using SNMP

Network administrators can install SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) software on network
computers so they can monitor projectors. If your network uses this software, you can set up the
projector for SNMP monitoring.
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Select Network > Network Settings > Projector Control > SNMP > On.
Note: If the Remote Password and the Web Control Password have not been set, a screen appears
prompting you to set them. Enter passwords up to 32 characters long. These passwords are used
for accessing the projector over a network, and you do not need to enter them to access the Network
Settings menu after you set them.
3. If no SNMP Community Name has been set, a screen appears prompting you to set one.
Enter the SNMP Community Name (up to 32 alphanumeric characters).
