Pilot Assist*
A number of symbols and messages regar-
ding Pilot Assist can be shown via the driver
display.
Symbol Message
Grey steering wheel symbol
Symbol for hands on the steering wheel
Windscreen sensor
Sensor blocked, see Owner's man-
ual
A text message can be cleared by briefly
pressing the button, located in the centre
of the steering wheel's right-hand keypad.
85 This function can be either standard or optional, depending on market.

Specification
Indicates deactivated steering assistance. When Pilot Assist provides steering assis-
tance, the steering wheel is green.
The system cannot detect whether the driver has his/her hands on the steering wheel.
Place your hands on the steering wheel and actively steer the car.
Clean the windscreen in front of the camera and radar unit's detectors.
If a message remains: Contact a workshop –
an authorised Volvo workshop is recom-
mended.
